Chris is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and Iowa. Prior to joining RHLO as a senior associate, Chris was an attorney at a Midwest subrogation firm and a subrogation adjuster in Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company’s subrogation department in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, in 2005, and earned dual degrees in Classics and Political Science. In 2010, he graduated from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was a member and the research editor of the Drake Law Review. Chris was also awarded First Place in the Drake University Law School Writing Competition by the Iowa Supreme Court.
Chris is a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) and serves on its Amicus Committee as a brief writer, drafting amicus briefs on issues throughout the United States as requested by the Amicus Committee. Chris also serves as Co-Chair of the Iowa Chapter of NASP. In 2016, the Iowa Chapter received the Chapter of the Year award, which was awarded at the Annual Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, running, watching European soccer, and cheering on his favorite hockey team, the St. Louis Blues.
